I took some personal time yesterday and made the quick trip down to Post, Texas for the Old Mill Trade Days.

It was nice to get out of town for a few hours and search for what this part of the state has to offer. West Texas friendly folks and darn good food is what I found.

You can shop the many vendors that make up the Old Mill Trade Days, grab some true Texas BBQ (and fiery salsa) from Smokey River BBQ, nipple on flavored popcorn from Gigi's and the fried pork rinds from Smoking Dicks (you can't go wrong with the creamy dill flavored rinds) are right on point.

If you're looking to make a day trip on this Sunday they'll be open until 4 p.m.

Can't make it this weekend? Old Mill Trade Days takes place on the second weekend of the month from now through December.
