There's nothing like a Mushroomhead show in October. These guys just add to the Halloween spirit with a fantastic, theatrical show.

The masked mayhem will take place at Jake's on Friday, October 7th.

Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, the band has drawn comparisons to Slipknot, which is probably unfair for to both bands.

Sure, both bands wear masks, but both bands also have amplifiers. Dressing up, whether a little or a lot, is just another element to some rock shows. I don't really see people comparing one rock star's eyeliner to another rock star's eyeliner, so the mask thing isn't a big deal. Heck, I think it would be cool if ALL rock bands started wearing masks; we could be the "masked genre."

Back to the music. I truly believe that "QWERTY" is one of the best metal songs EVER. I'm serious. Some music just makes you move, and this is one of those tracks.

Sunflower Dead and Unsaid Fate will open the show.

Get your tickets to see Mushroomhead online at Ticketfly starting at 10 a.m. Friday, July 29.
