New Lubbock Brewery Takes Big Step Toward Opening
Calling all lovers of craft beer and everything local in Lubbock: a new brewery is making its way to the Hub City. Here's what we know so far.
The Good Line Beer Company unfortunately does not have much information out there. Their official website is sparse, only stating that the "first thing you learn is that you always gotta wait," along with the header: "Fresh. Local. Craft. Beer." This gives us a peek into what they're all about, but just a small one.
They do have more content on their Instagram and Twitter accounts. They've been active on Instagram since December 4th, 2018, so it looks like the beer company has been in the making for quite some time. One of their most recent updates seems to be that they finally purchased a building as the brewery's official home. They're still a ways away from any sign of opening, as the building is barren and in need of renovations.
The rest of their feed is full of what they've been brewing up to now, including their takes on pale ale, pilsner, IPA and more. As a sour beer and cider lover, I'd be excited to see them play around with something in the tart or fruity range. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Good Line Beer Co. also appear to be buddies with The Brewery LBK, which I love to see. Seeing the brewpub named no. 1 in the nation by USA Today supporting a smaller brewery is fantastic. It truly shows the comradery and great community within Lubbock-local companies. That's one of the many reasons I adore all of the local businesses here in Lubbock.
There has yet to be an opening date announced for Good Line Beer Co., but hopefully they'll be up and running soon. I can't wait to try out what they've brewed up.
