Papa Roach put on one hell of a show, period. If you questioned why the band was picked to be the Big Purple Party headliner, their no-holds-barred prowess answered it without a doubt.

Breaking Benjamin and the rest of the bands on the bill were great, but Papa Roach took it a little past the threshold and were that much more bad-ass as a result. The band opened their set with the title track off their latest album "F.E.A.R." But Jacoby and the boys didn't slow down from there, mixing in old classics and more new music, including "Gravity," which they performed with In This Moment frontwoman Maria Brink.

The Lubbock crowd couldn't have been louder after that performance.

If you were out there, you already know. But if you were one of those poor souls that couldn't join us for one of those lame reasons like "work," then you missed one beatdown to remember.
