Plainview Schedules Cops And Kids Event For This Saturday

When I was a little kid, we had a bunch of field trips to the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Shooting Range. We thought it was the coolest thing in the world.

Plainview has a similar kind of outreach for law enforcement and kids, but it's a bit more recreational.  This Saturday from noon until five there will be setups for basketball, volleyball, a tug or war and a heck of a lot more. It's just a great way for police to interact with kids.

I have to say that this is community policing DONE RIGHT.  The event is at Running Water Draw Park.
