Texas, Here Is The Petition To Bring Back A Whataburger Favorite
In case you were unaware, one of the best Whataburger breakfast items is no longer available to order. Luckily, it's not the taquito. Not to be dramatic but, I would have cried, possibly passed out, maybe passed away, if that were the case.
It's the Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuit that is no more. And Texans are up in arms.
Here are some of the shocked and dismayed comments:
What?! There’s no jalapeño cheddar biscuit?!
If you’ve never had a honey butter chicken biscuit ON the jalapeño cheddar biscuit, you haven’t lived.
Say it louder for the people in the back!
And my favorite comment because it's so honest:
I forgot about that. But now I want it.
So what replaced the jalapeno cheddar biscuit? Well, the newest breakfast item is the Breakfast Bowl, which is for a limited time so try not to get too attached:
The good news is that Whataburger can and has brought popular menu items back, like the famous and very Texan Dr. Pepper Shake. It is also for a limited time so you'll want to hop on it.
If you're still reeling from the loss of the jalapeno cheddar biscuit, you can sign the petition at Change.org. Here's an excerpt from the petition writer's impassioned plea for its return:
Today I received devastating news that Whataburger canceled the jalapeño cheddar biscuit. This was the only thing that I ate from there for breakfast. I built my life around the fact that I could have a jalapeño cheddar biscuit anytime I want between 11 PM and 11 AM.
I would go so far to say that the jalapeño cheddar biscuit is the best thing that Whataburger had on their menu. It was a delectable treat. More importantly, it was the only thing they could fill the emptiness inside of me.
Oh man, that IS sad. Get this person a biscuit, stat. And me too, while you're at it. And a potato taquito. Verde sauce, please. And spicy ketchup. Thank you.
