Results are being counted across the country and this one is over!

When you get right down to it, this was one of the best possible outcomes from this election. No matter who you are or what you stand for, some of your guys won and some of your guys lost. No matter what issue was on the ballot, some passed and some didn't.  Some of the crazy people were elected and some were sent packing.

Unfortunately having mixed results as we did was the best way to quash all the b.s. about election fraud or whatever. All of the nonsense that has dominated the headlines over the last four years can now be safely put to bed. We can move forward and realize that we have to compromise with our friends and neighbors, and maybe come up with some solutions that benefit everyone. You may have not got your way, but at least that decision was made peacefully.

I still have a burr under my saddle about what got us to this point. Millions upon millions were spent "improving" voting systems that were perfectly fine. We'll now spend millions more archiving all the printed materials from those systems. It can truly be hard to move on from this when we'll now see it every time we vote.

So join me in attempting to "get over it". Let's move forward. There's nothing to cheer about and nothing to cry about. If you don't like the results, then roll up your sleeves and get ready to work next year or something, but for the love of Pete, at least give us one year off.
