First off, I am glad to have a reason to share some thoughts on Pee Wee Herman.

One of my first experiences seeing Pee-wee Herman, aka Paul Reubens was actually as "Howie Hamburger Dude" in Cheech and Chong's Nice Dreams (he was also in Cheech and Chong's Next Movie). The scene was so incredibly iconic because "Donna", showed up to lunch with the boys with him. Donna, portrayed by Evelyn Guerrero was so unbelievably hot that it was hard to take your eyes off her. Still, Reubens rocked what was obviously an improv scene, doing coke with Chong while Cheech attended to Donna.

From there it was a standout young comedians special hosted by Carl Reiner and the Pee-wee Herman show which pretty much ran on a loop in the early days of cable, These last two things catapulted him into the world of Pee-wee's Big Adventure, Pee-wee's Playhouse (the t.v. series), and more. I will also say, as a fan, his last movie "Pee-wees Big Holiday" was also hilarious, and I almost quit breathing when he saw the snake.

Pee-wee's impact on pop culture was so big that he taught America how to clap in the middle of "Deep In The Heart Of Texas". His mission from Pee Wee's Big Adventure also resulted in one of the longest-running jokes ever, about the basement of the Alamo.  This brings us to the post below. I find it incredibly classy that a historical institution like the Alamo posted about the impact Pee Wee had on the Alamo. In fact, if you asked me to name two people who were at the Alamo, my answers would be Davy Crocket and the legendary Pee Wee Herman.
