The RoadCrew Celebrates The Life Of Houston Arson Investigator

We get the RockShow RoadCrew together most weekends and this weekend things took a poignant turn.

RockShow RoadCrew member James "JP" Mayo spent the weekend at a wake. At this point, I recommend you stop reading and just listen to a minute or so of audio.

In case you couldn't listen, Houston Arson Investigator Lemuel Bruce was just 44 years old when shot by an arson suspect (who later shot himself). He was the person in the Houston Fire Department to be killed in the line of duty.

It is terrible and wrong that this happened. Other than that, I don't know what to say.  You wouldn't think that an arson investigator would ever be involved in a situation where he was trading gun shots with a suspect, but he did, and this Marine Corp veteran left behind a wife and two kids.

I guess the best words I can summon up are, that he has our respect, his family has our love, and to our friend, J.P. Mayo and to the entire Houston Fire Departmet, you have our sympathy.
