Cole Hamels and Ian Desmond are headed to the MLB All-Star game which will take place next week. The two were voted in as reserves for the AL squad.

Desmond, who took the place of center fielder Delino DeShields, has had a career resurgence with the Rangers.

Hamels came over to the Rangers last year in a massive trade with the Phillies and has put together a slew of solid outings.

The Rangers sit atop the AL West with a 53-32 record. The All-Star game will take place on Tuesday, July 12th.
