United Family Streetside Pickup Surpasses 1 Million Orders

The United Family has surpassed 1 million orders through their Streetside grocery pickup service.

Team members at the United Supermarkets on Indiana Avenue and 130th Street in Lubbock gathered to celebrate. There were balloons, a cookie cake, and a $50 gift card for the 1,000,001st Streetside guest.

Director of e-commerce for the United Family, Chris Farr, said that the team wanted to do something special for the guest that put them over the 1,000,000 mark.

Farr said:

It was important for our team to take a second and recognize the guest who got us over this milestone [...] Obviously, we wouldn’t be where we are today without our wonderful guests. So, not only thank you to our 1,000,001st guest but a thank you to all of our guests who made this possible.

 

Since March, we have seen more and more demand for a curbside or delivery option for groceries [...] I’m really proud of our team on all levels. They have not only worked on the frontlines of the pandemic, but they have also rolled with the punches as we saw more demand than ever before.

The United Family has seen extensive growth amid the the Coronavirus pandemic. People have been looking for options that involve less person-to-person contact, so the Streetside team saw a massive increase in demand.
