United Family to Open New Store in Southwest Lubbock

The United Family of Stores announced Tuesday (October 6th) that they will soon be adding another United Supermarkets location to their Lubbock store offerings.

According to our friends at Everything Lubbock, the new store should be open to the public by the summer 2021 and will be located at 114th and Slide Road. Additionally, this location will also house a second location of Evie Mae's BBQ, which you currently have to drive all the way to Wolfforth to enjoy.

I live in Southwest Lubbock, so this is joyous news to me. Evie Mae's BBQ has been hailed as one of the best in Texas by the discerning foodies at Texas Monthly.

My United Family store is 98th & Indiana's Market Street. But every store is its own special gem. From unique offerings like bars and coffee shops in certain locations to specialty deals like the freezer packs at Amigos, every single store has its own personality and vibe.

And no matter which United Family store you go into, you can be assured that you'll receive unparalleled customer service from happy employees that are treated right by the company they work for. That means more than anything to me, and I believe we should all endeavor to support companies that treat their staff with dignity and fairness. (I'm looking at you, major book store turned online everything retailer. Maybe take after United in the future?)
