On Tuesday, June 2nd, United Supermarkets present a check for $65,000 to the South Plains COVID-19 Response Fund,.
The donation to the Community Foundation of West Texas and the Lubbock Area United Way, partners in establishing the South Plains COVID-19 Response Fund in late March, was made up of donated funds from United Supermarkets along with guests from area locations in communities including Levelland, Plainview and Slaton.
The South Plains COVID-19 Response Fund was created with the intent to rapidly deploy resources to local organizations working to assist individuals impacted by the pandemic.
