It's crazy to me that we're nearing such a milestone on FMX.  True, our web pages do UNBELIEVABLE numbers, but there's just something about seeing that Facebook page grow.

The FMX Facebook has endured nasty trolls. We've had to ban a hundred or more people due to curse words, threats and general unpleasantness.  The great thing is, if you've only had to ban a hundred when your total is 18K, you're doing pretty good.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that means one a-hole per 1800 people.  Heck, I encounter more than that each time I go to the supermarket.

Think about it. We're a rock station in a country town. We're not afraid to express unpopular opinions. I'm also personally not afraid to call a jackass a jackass.  These things mean we should be in the minority, but we have almost 8,000 more likes than our nearest competitor.  That's just plain insane.

None of this is to say that you have to agree with anything we say. We're aware that some people just "like" or page to see how we're going to piss them off next.  All of that is cool...as long as you are respectful in your opinions, you're allowed to express them.

Lastly, every once in a while we get some of those people who get the brain hurt when we make them think.  From them we get "stick to the music". For you folks, you're missing the point.  We're giant because we give you all the music stuff and a lot more above and beyond that. Along those same lines, don't mix up our Facebook with our on-air with our web page. They each have their own personalities.  Other than the morning show, we rarely express any opinions at all on air.  As for the morning show, we really only express opinions if we think it's going to come out funny.  On the web, we tend to be more extreme.

In the end, we hope you'll think of our page as a community.  We hope you'll continue to find it interesting.  Most of all, we want to thank you for being here.
