A Red Raider Fan’s Perspective on This Year’s Team

I received the following email on Monday and asked if I could publish it. It is, in fact, not how I feel about the situation, but I think this side of the story deserves to be heard.

A listener dropped me this note. I edited it slightly, but I think this fan's perspective definitely needs to be heard. Here goes:

So, I'm a die hard tech fan, I bleed scarlet and black but...I think it's time for a change. I mean let's face it, we've never had a defense but damn, guys that can't tackle? How long can it keep going like this? There are teams that have a worse record and yet are still ranked.  Maybe I'm crazy but I think Kingsbury's gotta go. He and that defensive coordinator. How long can fans like me keep going with hope when even with the nation's leading passer can't finish a game? I think new leadership is needed! Maybe I'm crazy? What do you think man,? B.T.W.  I'm a huge fan of yours!  Keep on rockin' man!!   

A Concerned Fan

As far as what I think, I've written on that before. I'm in the "keep Kliff" camp. That doesn't mean I don't understand where this fan is coming from. At least from a fan's perspective, we are aren't losing games due to anything other than "basics & discipline." I personally think Kliff will make those corrections, but it's probably too late to do it this season.
