Check Out The T-Shirts For The 42nd FMX Birthday Bash With Papa Roach
We have another certified, high-demand, super-excellent, collector's item T-shirt on the way.
It was a long road to get to the 42nd FMX Birthday Bash. We had, in fact, decided to not even have a show this year when the good folks at Live Nation stepped in (they've been doing all kinds of cool things lately). We were able to pick up Papa Roach and Spiritbox on a day off from their tour with Shinedown and we could not be happier.
We are happier for the old friends that keep Lubbock rockin'. I'll still never forget seeing Papa Roach live at the Firecracker Five with Slipknot, Linkin Park, Disturbed, and Mudvane (in case you're wondering, Slipknot and Papa Roach headlined over the rest). The minute I saw Jacoby Shaddix, then Coby Dick, on stage I knew the entire game had changed. I had never seen anyone with his Tasmania Devil energy perform live before. Later Papa Roch headlined a "Blind Date" for us (where nobody knew what band was playing) and made numerous other stops in the Hub City.
Well this special show required a special commemoration so we turned to the folks from Advanced Graphix and basically told them to go wild, just put "FMX" and "42nd Birthday Bash" on them. The result is a piece of certified punk rock art. Check it out:
I just love the graphic, it means everything and nothing all at once. Is the guy getting his face melted, or is he getting it smooshed in the pit? It's certainly open to interpretation and it's just plain cool.
We hope to celebrate with you on October 10th at the Lone Star Events Center and we hope we get to chuck a shirt your way. Advanced tickets are available here.
