Here's one for you, if you don't want illegal aliens, says "I don't want illegal aliens". Seems fair and I think almost everybody will respect that opinion.

Governor Greg Abbott has to resort to hyperbole instead of just saying "we don't want illegal aliens". I understand that people should immigrate the right way. It's the fair thing to do, especially to those who are trying to do it legally. So, everybody in agreement with that?  What I don't like is that they have to try to inject a little fear into the equation in order to make you think they are doing more than they are. Here's a bit of Abbott's statement:

“It’s inexcusable to release individuals from jail that have been charged with heinous crimes like sexual assault against minors, domestic violence and robbery. There are deadly consequences to not enforcing the law, and Texas has now become a state where those practices are not tolerated. With this bill we are doing away with those that seek to promote lawlessness in Texas.”

Anyone else see what's wrong here? Any sane minded individual would tell you that #1. People who commit those kind of crimes aren't released. #2. There's no correlation between illegal immigration and these crimes. This is all a big roll of baloney. Illegal immigration is a crime. Illegal aliens often have to commit document crimes to get papers to get jobs, but the rest of this mess that Abbott is spouting is just nonsense.
