Have you visited downtown Lubbock recently? It's slowly being revamped and looking more and more beautiful each day. I've lived on Broadway for over a year now, and I can see a massive difference in the number of people walking up and down the street to various restaurants and stores.

The other day, I noticed new slogans on street lamps that I hadn't seen before, and I love them.

Making downtown Lubbock a warm and inviting place is exactly what we need. It was neglected for far too long. It's cool to watch the magic unfold from the window of my apartment.

When I was growing up, downtown Lubbock was the last place you'd want to be. It was completely trashed out and the only sign of life was the courthouse. Now there are coffee shops, breweries, great restaurants, and LIFE. I've been so excited to see young people move into my building. The vibes are catching on and downtown Lubbock is becoming the place to be, just like the slogan.

If you've been wondering if a move to downtown Lubbock is a good idea, my experience has honestly been great. I love walking to grab a pizza from Georgio's and hanging out on the patio reading with a beer at The Brewery LBK. I've made so many new friends, too! I'm looking forward to all of the good things to come, and I think this summer in downtown Lubbock is going to be fab. Head over and see for yourself.
