Here’s The Most Popular Halloween Candy In Texas
It's important that you know what the kids want.
If you don't give kids the candy they want, apparently you have to "smell their feet" or something. For that reason only, it's important that you make sure you get the correct candy.
I had thought the most popular treats for kids were those of the gummy variety, gummy worms, gummy eyes, gummy mummies, or whatever. One of the best ways you can make sure you're on the right track is to check out the list of the "America's Favorite Halloween Candy", that way if the trick-or-treaters don't like it, then their parents will.
Coming in a numero uno for Texas is (drumroll please)...Starburst! Starburst does make a pretty good trick-or-treat candy because they have those nice little two-packs, and even singles if you're being extra frugal. Coming in at number two on the list is another "everybody's favorite" and that would be Reese's Cups. You just can't go wrong with having some extra peanut butter cups left over at the end of the night. Rounding out the top three is Sour Patch Kids.
The Texas choices are a little different from the national list with M&M's and Skittles making the top three along with Reece's. I guess we can't trust people from all over America though, because ten of the states actually had Candy Corn in their top three and that's just an unacceptable answer.
All of this info comes from the 2022 list at Candystore.com. My guess is things won't change that much going into 2023. I'm good with the Texas list; if I was a kid I'd be happy with a bag full of Starburst, Reese's, and Sour Patch Kids.
