KAMC-TV visited the FMX studio yesterday to gas me up about the comedy show I'm opening this weekend in Lubbock.

There's nothing like being heard on the radio vs. being seen on television, especially after the amount of Domino's pizza I've stuffed in my pie hole during the pandemic.

But I digress.

Reporter Laura Laughead made the entire interview totally painless and was really sweet to me, in spite of my nervous chatter. I can't believe she put together something worth reading after the word vomit I spewed in the interview. I truly appreciate her story, and I wanted to share it with you guys. I'm not used to anyone writing anything about me and I feel special. Not gonna lie.

Writing an article about yourself, like I am right now, is like drawing a picture and hanging it on your own refrigerator: embarrassing and weird. Plus, I'm used to interviewing other people for my articles with 94.5 FMX's website, and not at all used to being in the opposite seat. Thank you for avoiding my double chin and making me look slightly saner, Laura. You're a real peach.

I want to also give a huge shout-out to all of the FMX listeners who have continued to support The RockShow since I was brought aboard. Your kind words of encouragement have helped me get settled into my amazing job and I'm so pleased to put on the show each morning for every single one of you. I love working here with Wes more than I can put into words, and I appreciate the fans that have embraced me.

When you perform live for an audience, you get the pleasure of seeing their facial expressions and hearing their laughter. When I make jokes on the radio, I just have to cross my fingers that you're laughing. We were just rated Lubbock's number one radio station, so I think you might be.

If you're free on Saturday, January 30th, I would love to tell you a few jokes in person. Steve Trevino is going to put on a kickass show at the Buddy Holly Hall, and you don't want to miss it.
