Lubbock, This Is An Important PSA If You Are Going To Bryan’s Steaks
It seems that everyone, including myself*, in Lubbock is thrilled that Bryan's Steaks (1212 50th St) has finally reopened after several months of renovations following a catastrophic fire.
* I once wrote a love letter to Bryan's Steaks for no reason other than the fact that I had to get those intense feelings out into the world.
Despite my intense craving for a corn fritter, I am allowing a little time for Bryan's mania to cool off- if it ever does. Bryan's has seen a very long line and a very full parking lot since their reopening- and this is where an important PSA comes in: do NOT park in another nearby parking lot, as you will get towed. A huge thanks to an LBK Foodie for broadcasting this warning. This includes the pawn shop, the nearby fast food places, etc.
It seems that people are parking as far away as the Imperial Convention Center (906 50th S) which is events-oriented and therefore often has an empty parking lot. And they are getting towed "left and right."
In case you are unfamiliar, it's this building (once a Chinese buffet) that's adjacent to the interstate ramp.
I would suggest carpooling if possible to Bryan's if you can. Otherwise, it appears you are stuck parking on the street in nearby neighborhoods if the lot is full. But make sure you are doing so legally or you could just as easily get towed there too. Be polite and don't block anyone's driveway or mailbox, I'd hate for anyone to key your car either.
I am so happy for Bryan's well-earned success, and I hope to eat there soon...when I can get a spot in the lot.
