I'm just like you. There's stuff on the radio I love and stuff I don't care for.

I don't know what my personal top 5 says about me.  Two of these songs are as mainstream/radio as can be, two are a little out there and one is still kind of developing. Anyways, check out my faves and the accompanying videos.

    Square Hammer

    Ghost

Follow me here. Blue Oyster Cult stole Black Sabbath's vibe and took it to sci-fi realms. Then Ghost took Blue Oyster Cult's vibe and made it evil.  Or you could just say that Ghost is the bastard child of B.O.C. and Sabbath. Either way, this is the song of the year in my book.

    Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart

    Chris Cornell

Paul Rogers of Bad Company used to be called "The Best Rock Singer Ever". I think Chris Cornell stole the title. When Cornell hits upon the right piece of material he's just unstoppable. Keep in mind that this song was so strong it blew Cornell's own Prince cover out of the water.

    Dark Necessities

    Red Hot Chili Peppers

This song is greatness. It is with sadness that I tell you that the rest of the album is just kind of more of the same, but less great. As a first blast though, this one will definitely make the next Chili Peps greatest hits collection. This is one of those songs that creeps into your blood and brain and will just not let go.  Don't believe me? This video has over 50 million views. That's just insane.

    Sleeping Dogs

    Zakk Wylde & Corey Taylor

I'm a fan of Zakk's slow stuff. I loved "Angel Of Mercy" and "In This River".  This track is better than both of those and features a little help from Corey Taylor (Stone Sour, Slipknot).  This is just good, whiskey sippin', laughin' with friends rock. I can see my friends smile when I hear this song.

    Night Never Ending

    Avatar

True confession time. I had to go back and listen to "The Eagle Has Landed" which was the more popular of the two Avatar tunes. I'm still going with Night Never Ending as my personal favorite. I love this band.
