Let's all give thanks to YouTuber Jim Aash. This past weekend him put up some really cool Alice In Chains footage from 1991.

This is Layne Staley Alice In Chains during the Clash Of The Titans tour in 1991. I believe this was the tour with Anthrax, Slayer and Megadeth. Alice in Chains opened for those giants of Friday May 17th. This means the 26th anniversary of that performance is coming up a week from Friday.

The footage and audio is actually pretty good for the time. It's certainly not cinematic, but it's better than what most people post from their smart phones now. My guess is this was a full fledged big ass video camera someone snuck into the show.

For those of you who just want to skip to the big one, the band closes with Man In The Box at 21:48.  At 26:29, Layne Staley says, "Thanks a lot Lubbock, goodnight".  Thank you guys for being a part of Lubbock history.

A little further investigation found other videos and tapes from this show, but the one posted seems to be the best quality. Below is an audio recording from the crowd of "Man In The Box". It's clearer but you can hear people chatting.
