The Blood Moon, or Hunter's Moon will light up the night this Sunday evening.

Any guesses as to why it's called "The Blood Moon"? I tipped you off by calling it the Hunter's Moon.  This moon was used to track and hunt deer that had packed on the pounds after the summer. In other words, Native Americans used the light of the moon as an opportunity to stockpile for the coming winter.

You can catch the full moon at 11:23 this Saturday night. As of right now the forecast is showing that we'll have a clear night in Lubbock.
