Guess Who’s Not Coming To Lubbock?

I woke up this morning to news of a big tour and I'm a little peeved that it's not coming here.

Have a look at this tour routing:

Aug 26 – Phoenix, AZ – Ak-Chin Pavilion
Aug 27 – Albuquerque, NM – Isleta Amphitheater
Aug 30 – Dallas, TX – Dos Equis Pavilion
Sep 1 – Del Valle, TX – Germania Insurance Amphitheater

It kind of looks like August 28th or 29th would be a perfect date for a Lubbock show.  It's also possible that the band just needs some off dates to rest up between gigs. Still, it sticks in my craw that we're being passed by. It gets me every single time I see a band make a jump from Albuquerque to Dallas because those drive-through dates used to be our bread and butter.

I have no idea why Lubbock isn't booked or wasn't even considered, but I can tell you that online bitching and moaning doesn't help. The band listed is one of those bands that people tell us to "not bring" even though they fill up the Lone Star Event center every time. I'm sure other places also have throngs of whiners like this, but here in Lubbock the only way we're going to get shows is to try harder.

I guess we could get lucky and the bands may double back at some other time, but looking at the tour schedule it would probably have to be 2023. Oh, also, this band, which is one of the ones that's supposedly in Lubbock "all the time" hasn't played here since 2016.

So yeah, short of a miracle, no Five Finger Death Punch/Megadeth show for us.
