Lubbock Family Receives Insane LP&L Bill
Do you think your electric bill is crazy? Well, just wait until you see this one.
Some friends of our recently moved from the Hub City to the East Coast. We feel like it was a real loss for Lubbock, but maybe the Hub City didn't feel that way.
They received one final strong kick in the rear when they got their final bill from Lubbock Power & Light.
The total charge was for $38,925.42. As you might suspect, this was a bit larger than their usual $200 bill.
$38,597.89 of the bill wasn't even from electricity, but water. Based on the bill, the family would have used 4,506,000 gallons of water in the span of a month.
Just imagine. You're in a new city with a million things to do, and something like this bill comes up to haunt you.
Fortunately, they were able to laugh it off. LP&L was actually super helpful in helping them clear it up. The real bill, including final costs and everything, was more like $380.
