The Lubbock Sponge Show Was Canceled

I don't really know what's up with this one, but there were some of us that were pretty hyped to go.

Sponge was scheduled to visit Jake's Backroom on April 11th, but shortly after the show was announced, it was quickly canceled.

I was kind of looking forward to seeing these guys. I loved a lot of the guys who I guess were "runners-up" during the grunge period, like Sponge, 7 Mary 3 and U.P.O.

This would have been a cool opportunity to check them out. No reason for the cancellation was given, and it had nothing to do with the Metallica announcement.
