I love this picture. I do not know the complete context, but it sure looks like Lubbock's Jade Perez is telling the boys how things need to be done.  Here's the picture description from the Navy:

PACIFIC OCEAN (April 6, 2021) Electrician's Mate 3rd Class Adam Perticare (left), from East Meadow, N.Y., and Damage Controlman 3rd Class Jaden Bates (middle), from Houston, operate a fire hose as Damage Controlman 2nd Class Jade Perez, from Lubbock, Texas, observes in the hangar bay aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). Abraham Lincoln is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Michael Singley/Released)

So once again another flatlander has chosen to serve at sea. I wonder if Lubbock folks require a bit of time (and potential motion sickness) getting used to these big ships. Then again, I don't know how much these ships rock since they are so huge (maybe one of you Navy guys can fill us in at some point). Interestingly enough, my dad from Union, Texas (by Brownfield) was also Navy. I guess there's just something in the red dirt that makes people seek sea water.

On behalf of everyone at FMX, KISS, Awesome 98, Lonestar 99 5, KFYO, and Talk 1340 we'd like to thank Controlman Perez for her service and wish her a very safe tour of duty and safe passage home (when she's ready!).
