Lubbock’s Skyline Will Be Changing in a Big Way
Yeah, this is going to be weird for a bit.
You are no doubt used to seeing that giant water tank on 50th and Indiana. For a little while, it could be gone from the Lubbock skyline. After demolition, a new one will be constructed in its place.
Another water tank is also planned for 104th and Milwaukee, with another three possible in the future. Just for the trivia, these things hold two million gallons apiece.
The city is currently in the public meetings phase of the first two projects, and it's pretty doubtful anything will prevent these projects from moving forward.
