Mystery Military Convoy Parked In Lubbock
I fully realize this is the third time I've brought this up, but it is at the very least intriguing.
This time the vehicles were stationary, but they were on the trailers in the opposite direction. I'm not sure if that means anything. I was able to trace one back to two engines but whether they're pushing or pulling I have no idea.
I'm not worried that we're about to break out into anything crazy here, I think it's more the little boy in me that's enthralled by all the different vehicles. I was able to see first aid trucks, tanks, personnel carriers, and, my favorite, the one with the pop-up satellite dish that's obviously for field communications.
I was able to catch a really long video for you at about 3:45 on Monday afternoon. Everything seemed to be parked and waiting for its turn to get on the tracks. There is what I assume is a changing station somewhere past the bridge on 19th and just past Avenue A. If my directions are correct, I filmed this video from south to north, with the two visible engines on the south side.
I don't believe these to be decommissioned vehicles, but hey, what do I know? I still find it interesting that there is a mix of jungle and desert camo. My guess is they're headed to various staging areas, but the direction of the vehicles on the flatbeds intrigues me.
I'm sure the U.S. Military does everything for a reason, and that probably includes how they transport vehicles.
