This was kind of interesting. While looking for video on the Hub City, I stumbled across a band that may or may not be named after the Hub City.

I guess if you're Scandinavian, Nordic or whatever, the name "Lubbock" conjures up images of the old west, desperados, and whatnot. The guys are even decent pickers, but the minute they start singing, you think, 'y'all ain't from around here, are ya?"

The Outlaws of Lubbock rock a little corner bar with some "Ramblin' Man" by The Allman Brothers. They even have some of that sweet, sweet Scandinavian steel guitar playing cooking off to the side.

It took me a few views to figure out this was indeed a cover band as one of the guitar players looked like a young Glen Frey while the other has a passing resemblance to Lubbock's Jimmie Dale Gilmore.
