It was good to see so many old friends and make some new ones Saturday night at the 36th annual FMX Birthday Bash.

Our buddies, Sons of Texas, made the trip up from McAllen, Texas to join fellow Texas rockers The Crowned and Hellyeah for one helluva birthday bash.

It's been quiet a while since these guys have played here in the Hub City, and as usual, they did not disappoint.

I had the opportunity to speak to Sons of Texas frontman Mark Morales before the show and he told me to expect new music from the band "some time this summer."

You can see all the photos from Sons of Texas' set at the FMX Birthday Bash, courtesy of Gabriel Madrid, in the photo gallery above. Check out our FMX Birthday Bash page for photos, videos and more.

Thanks to all of you who have supported FMX over the past 36 years. Your loyalty is truly amazing.
