Thank You For Another Great Year At The Fair

The good folks at the South Plains Fair should be given a big congratulations on a job well done.

Last night at 1 a.m. most of the rides on the Midway were still lit up. By 1 p.m. Sunday most were already packed up and out of town.

It was a great year for the Fair and for Fair shows. The entire run was about as incident-free as an event can be and by all reports, the food was delicious. The Midway was bigger, bolder, brighter and more exciting.

It's sad to see the Fair come and go each season but that's kind of what makes it special. Maybe next year we can get it started without the rain.
