The Death Of Ceremony
Coronavirus has shaken a lot of what we believed in.
If we can't gather, then we can't have birthday parties, weddings or funerals. It makes family reunions, guys nights out and game nights impossible too.
I just thought I'd commiserate with you for a moment, but it's important that you don't get hung up on what you Can't do. There are always things you CAN do. Let's take a funeral for instance. Instead of preparing flowers and food for a gathering of friends, you can prepare for an online gathering, or even a gathering of friends online. You can tell your favorite stories, post pics, and actually do a lot of things that you can't do in person at a service.
I am sorry if your celebration of life, or mourning of death, happens at this truly terrible time, but don't get hung up on ceremony, focus on the INTENT of the ceremony and maybe it won't be as hard.
