Where Lubbock Went for Porn in the Old Days [NSFW]

It's pretty easy to get porn nowadays, but if you wanted to watch people rub giggle bits in the old days, you had to go to a theater.

The Flick Theater used to be on 19th Street. The actual address evades me, but it was somewhere between Lubbock High School and the Dollar General that exist there now. Apparently, the place was originally a legit theater called The Continental.

I never had the guts to make my way into The Flick, but it appeared to stay in business for many, many years. The thing that made The Flick stick out was that the 'l' and 'i' in 'Flick' appeared to be a little closer together than needed, making it seem like they were telling you what was really going on on the screen.

Anyways, apparently they got their nasties on inside The Flick Theater, but for most us, the most memorable thing about the place was the sign.
