Don’t Forget to Thank Those Who Still Have to Work
A little gratitude always goes a long way. Maybe it's time to appreciate those people we take for granted.
People love to disparage those with minimum wage/starter jobs, like fast food workers, grocery sackers, stockers and others. Now, the shoe is on the other foot, and these are the people that are holding the world together while everyone else is practicing social distancing.
It takes no time and no effort to thank these people for the sacrifices they are making. They're risking infection in order to help keep you from it. They are showing up while others are calling in and keeping the doors open to your favorite stores and restaurants.
Just say, 'thanks for being here.' That gratitude goes a long way towards motivating these people to show up for the next day. And when this is all over? Maybe these folks deserve a raise.
