I'm like you guys, I need to get together with my friends and rock.
I'm sure at some point someone is going to have to roll me into a rock show and that's okay. I'm also taking a deep breath of relief to know that we have a verbal commitment to a rock show for our 41st FMX Birthday Bash.
Of course, everything is messed up due to COVID-19 so we've already done our 40th while we still wait on the official make-up date on the 39th. It'll happen, just give it an eensy-bit more time. Things were looking so dire for a bit there I was thinking, "well, quitting these after the 40th is not such a bad thing."
Still, things are happening within their own time frame and we can't speed them up. I can tell you right now that the target date is late September. I guess the only other thing I can tell you is that it will be a group of newer bands that we are very excited about. We got all the love in the world for all the bands that play for us, but it's going to be great to have a little new blood in the mix.
We will probably go dark on this topic for a while. These bands deserve the right to announce their own tours in their own time and we can't spoil that for them. In fact, you can ruin relationships with bands by doing that. I just wanted to pop in and let you know that when it comes to live music not only is there hope, there's concrete evidence that the scene is coming back.
