FMX Purple Party Announcement This Tuesday

Yeah, I just dropped that bomb. But I did not do it to hype you up or any of that baloney. I did it to make sure you're ready and not caught off guard.

FMX Bomb Squad VIPs will find out first thing Tuesday morning (March 24) via our newsletter and on a blog that they'll need to sign in to see.

So the question is, have you been getting our newsletter? Or are you even a member of the Bomb Squad VIP club? If you're not, sign up now!

Let me temper expectations a bit. This Purple Party WILL happen on a weekday.

As I've explained before, the days of us having giant festivals on weekends are over (for a bit). Trust us, you would NOT want to pay the ticket prices that would have to be charged for having these shows on a Friday or Saturday.

We hope this isn't too much of an inconvenience for you. Simply put, there are between one and three festivals in a given year, and that's just not that many days off, or days dragging ass as a result of going.

Interestingly enough, we've already had a band added to the FMX Purple Party lineup. You may ask, how can you call it adding a band when we haven't even announced it?

Well, shorty after Tuesday you'll see 4 x 6 postcards of the FMX Birthday Bash and The FMX Purple Party that both feature the lineups before the additions. So if you see these cards, please keep in mind that that was the base or beginning lineup and the lineups we announce on FMX and at KFMX.com are more representative of who is actually coming.
