Keep an Eye On the Skies This Afternoon and Evening

We have a chance of severe weather for this evening.

Strong winds and hail are possible. Ron Roberts is reporting a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms for tonight. As a long-time Lubbock resident, I can tell you that thunderstorms plus a hot day can result in some very scary weather.

If you have a way to shield your car from possible hail, this evening would be a good time to exercise that privilege. Also, keep your pets in mind if you can. Make sure there is a place they can take shelter in case of a sudden downpour.

Ron Roberts also says that once we get past tonight we should get a couple days break before there's another chance at some rockin' and rollin' weather. Be safe!
