Taco Fight on 50th Street

This is CRAZY. We're about to have a burrito bashdown in the heart of Lubbock.

I had heard that there was a new Taco Bell coming to 50th Street, but didn't realize until I read an Everything Lubbock story exactly where the location was.

The new Taco Bell will be at the site of the old Estrella's Mexican Restaurant (if you remember, I blogged it up when it was torn down).

I always thought the Estrella's location wasn't the best because it was right next to a Taco Villa. So, yes, that means the new Taco Bell will be right next door to the Taco Villa.

This is a ballsy move on the part of the Bell. I know they were up the street before, but moving right next door is a statement.
