Have you seen the giant flame just off the interstate in North Lubbock?

So, in case you were wondering, the band KISS did not forget its pyro after their Lubbock visit.

According to our sources, it was Atmos Energy flaring that gas, and it's something they're required to do per their safety guidelines. Atmos was conducting maintenance on the line that feeds the Massengale Station, and it required them to flare gas twice a day.

If you missed the show, well, it was spectacular, and it's over -- at least for a bit. The testing was scheduled to only run through April 30th.
